After he completed his studies at Sunset in 2002, John enrolled in Lubbock Christian University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Bible and Ministry in 2004.
During his time in Sunset and L.C.U., he made several trips to Bogotá, Colombia, where he worked with one of the congregations in that city. It was in Bogotá that he met his wonderful wife, Johanna, with whom he has been happily married since June, 2004.
John and his wife have moved here to Fresno and began working with us in August 2015. John loves Jesus, loves preaching from God’s word, and is looking forward to a long, loving relationship with this congregation.

joe boe

outreach minister

Joe's dream is that all of us at Woodward Park would teach and reach all in our area with the Gospel of Christ and extend the name of Jesus to all who do not know him. He enjoys the Bible, the Dodgers, the Bible, and the 49ers. Joe's favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 4:1, "I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction".

cesar Gamez

spanish minister

Hello my name is César Gámez and I’m married to Ixchel. We have two boys, Simei and his little brother Seth. I’m originally from Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico and my wife is from Mexico City. In 2010, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies with high distinction from Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas. Since 2011, I have been serving as the Hispanic preacher at Woodward Park Church of Christ, where I preach and teach every Sunday and Wednesday to the Spanish-speaking congregation. My wife and I  love teaching the bible personally, so anyone interested is welcome into our home to have a bible study or we also visit those who prefer to open their homes. Before migrating to the United States, I worked as a Software Engineer in various companies.  Also while in Mexico, my wife earned her bachelor’s degree in public accounting while working for the government of Baja California. Our deepest desire is to serve both the spiritual and physical needs of the Hispanic community through the preaching and teaching of the Gospel of Christ. If you want to contact me, send me an email or call the church office. God bless you!  FUN FACT: The Spanish language uses accents. If you pronounce my name without an accent (Cesar instead of César) it means “to cease”. So next time, try to pronounce my name correctly and you will get a reward!
